How does composite bonding work in Bristol?
After your first consultation with your cosmetic dentist, a resin will be chosen that bests matches the colour of your teeth.
Your tooth will then be prepared by slightly etching the surface. A conditioning liquid will then be applied that helps to bond the resin to the tooth.
The dental putty is then applied to your tooth and moulded into shape. Your cosmetic dentist will then apply a UV light over your teeth which hardens the dental bonding to your tooth. Finally, your teeth will be given a polish and you can see your new tooth!
With proper care and attention, composite bonding should last for many years. You should avoid food and drink which stain for the first 48 hours and you should avoid biting nails or other items to prevent damaging the composite bonding.
